Launched in 2025 by the Jupiter Meta Labs Foundation in the Seychelles, Jupiter Meta Data Token (JMDT) is a three-tier network architecture designed to process enterprise data and verify identity without exposing raw information.
The network operates across three distinct layers.
The application-specific Layer 3 Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) handles high-throughput localized enterprise data operations utilizing RAFT consensus. The Layer 2 state and execution engine is powered by custom Rust circuits running deterministically within the RISC Zero zkVM. State transitions are then anchored to the Ethereum Layer 1 settlement layer utilizing dynamic, gas-optimized STARK proof commitments.
Network security and consensus are driven by Asynchronous Validation Consensus (AVC), a model that replaces traditional mining with verifiable random function (VRF) randomized buddy node selection to mitigate Sybil attacks. Finalized blocks are logged to an append-only immudb ledger to ensure complete forensic auditability.
To ensure user data sovereignty, the ecosystem relies natively on W3C-standardized Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs). Verification happens locally on the user's device, ensuring that zero personally identifiable information (PII) is transmitted or stored on-chain. This architecture satisfies stringent compliance frameworks including GDPR and HIPAA.
The JMDT infrastructure supports active real-world workloads. This includes SuperJ, a consumer intelligence application that has cryptographically verified over 20 million unique user identities, and Hercules, an enterprise research engine operating directly on the L3 DAG. The core node infrastructure, JMDN v1.1.1, successfully completed a comprehensive CERT-IN security audit, passing 69,000 lines of Go code with zero critical findings.
The network's native token, JMDT, operates with a hard-capped total supply of 1 billion tokens. It acts as the core utility asset consumed across the ecosystem for DAG batch commits, L2 rollup transactions, and AVC node staking.
